Essay On Co-education

Co-education means education for both boys and girls together. The join education of both male and female students at the same school, college, university or any other institution where they sit together and get education is called co-education.

This is an economic system because in this system both girls and boys study in the same institute with the same teacher. further, boys and girls have to live together in a society in which they live their later life.

If they study together from the very beginning. Then they can understand each other and can live a better life later.

Co-education gives useful training to boys and girls to work together. While studying separately or side by side in different classes they cannot learn to co-operate for common purposes and aims. Co-education is the system where we get confidence and can build good communication skills. After completing their education, they can easily join different professions together. They can work together for common national aims at scientific research centers, and offices and even in factories to increase national production.

In Pakistan there are two types of education

An education system where both boys and girls learn together and system where there are separate schools and colleges for girls and boys. Mostly parents prefer to send their daughter to government schools where they can attend separate classes and cannot communicate and learn with boys and the outcome is when they get their degrees they can’t work with boys and can’t even communicate.

In ancient times co-education was prevalent in Greece. Today, this system of education is there in almost all the countries of the world.

It is economical and it generates a spirit of comradeship between boys and girls. The problem and shortage of trained teachers can be dealt with by this system. Boys overcome their curiosity and girls, their shyness. Though a few conservative people are against this co-education system, their views do not matter a lot.

Conclusion:

Co-education has made considerable progress worldwide. The arguments against such a system are not very convincing and do not hold much ground in modern times, on the whole co-education is an amazing system and must be implemented for any progress.
